Fall is just about here, ushering in all those luxe, opulent fabrics that suggest a certain formality.  Here's Sabrina in the new silk taffeta separates: a silk white bouffant skirt and Audreyesque top cinched with a matching belt. Check out her accessories--a satin pillbox hat and white silk purse.  The shorty gloves add a little something 60s to really pull the look together.

An asymmetrical Chantilly lace and tulle shirred top is paired up with the taffeta skirt.  Still vintage with a dash of  modernesque thrown into the mix . . . .

Bravo for Reem Acra who's just premiered Roses, a capsule collection carried exclusively by Nordstrom Wedding Suites.  Roses came out in late June.  Acra has successfully worked out six looks from her signature collection for under 4K.  Yes, you'll see all the same silhouettes now in affordable fabrics. INDEPENDENCE DAY WEDDING

INDEPENDENCE DAY WEDDING

Happy 4th and what a surprise I have for you today! Vintage junkie that I am, when this stylized shoot came my way I knew it was just the thing to show off a little patriotic-inspired fashion, food and table decor in honor of our  nation's birthday. The backyard BBQ is the perfect theme for a July 4 or Independence Week wedding.  Justin Alexander's just above the ankle semi-formal dress is jauntily paired up with a small cage veil and red mules.  For me the desert bar is the piece de resistance featuring various sweets in red, white and blue against the backdrop of antique and vintage design elements.  Check out our special guest who made an appearance: McMurtie Farms very own goat!
